The College of Naturopathic Medicine is seeking Adjunct academic faculty members to perform instructional duties and responsibilities in accordance with the philosophy, mission, policies, and procedures of the University and appropriate to the individual assignment. The relationship of the faculty member to the student is one of teacher, mentor, and facilitator of learning.

DESCRIPTION:
Basic duties include the following:
- Teach and/or co-teach courses in the Natural Childbirth (NCB) certificate program including but not limited to NCM II: Pregnancy, NCB III: Labor and Delivery and NCB VII: Legal Aspects
- Work collaboratively with course instructors for other natural childbirth courses
- Work collaboratively with faculty in ND program.
- Work with academic support to assure all needed supplies are available for students.
- Ensure equipment is functioning appropriately and maintained.
Academic Education duties include the following:
- Must be able to teach in a didactic setting, including use of active learning techniques and development of student learning objectives.
- Will be expected to work with other teachers in team teaching setting
- Teach/facilitate assigned educational experiences, including such activities as lecture, clinical practice, laboratory, and problem-based small group study.
- Develop and manage educational and evaluative experiences for a diverse population of students.
- Collaborate with administrators and faculty in assessment of individual teaching effectiveness and the effectiveness of the curriculum while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Assess student learning outcomes and make or recommend appropriate course or program modifications based on results.
- Review, update, and maintain syllabi in collaboration with other faculty and administrators in accordance with NUNM policies, procedures, and practices.
- Post and maintain office hours as stipulated in current policy.
- Establish and maintain student instructional records, and submit grades in a timely manner.
- Complete and submit self-evaluations, reports and other documents as assigned or requested in a timely manner.
This in-person position will be based at our campus in Portland, Oregon.

REQUIREMENTS:
- ND license with OR Natural Childbirth certification
- Must be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in natural childbirth & midwifery.
